Important News

“Due to pressures on the 111 service, during the hours of 8 am till 7:30pm on weekends only we have opened a direct patient line 01895 379302 which is able to help you with virtual consultations for urgent medical problems. If you have COVID symptoms please call 111 or visit for advice. For non COVID problems you can use this line and speak to a local GP for some advice.
Outside these hours please call 111, or visit the 111 website.
If you have run out of regular medication please remember that the pharmacists are able to issue you with an emergency supply until the practice is open and therefore please contact your pharmacist first.
There is significant pressure on the NHS at this time and we urge you to use the services responsibly.”
Thank you for supporting the NHS.

Welcome Townfield Doctors Surgery

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

At the Townfield Doctors Surgery reserved car parking spaces are marked near the front entrance. There are also indicated spaces for disabled patients. Wheelchair access to the building is via a ramp near the front entrance. Patient services are provided at ground floor level; however, a lift is provided to access the first floor. Two WCs for disabled patients are provided on the ground floor. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients we would be happy to consider suggestions for improvement.
